Commissioner: Three Ways School
Location: Three Ways School, Bath UK
Status: Completed 2008

A permanent commission which introduces interactive and playful elements to a communal area within a school for children with special needs.
The aim of the commission was to create a sensory and educative architectural element that both related to the music department’s curriculum and integrated into its surroundings.
When a child sweeps its hand across the surface of the dado rail, the rail comes to life.
Playful patterns of light, themed sounds and vibrations are emitted from its surface and move along the length of the dado rail in tandem, following the direction of your touch.
This project was designed, project managed and delivered whilst at Jason Bruges Studio.
