Digital Waterfall

Commissioner: Westfield
Location: Westfield Stratford, London UK
Status: Completed 2011
Photography: James Medcraft

A series of eight digital water features were commissioned as part of the new Westfield Stratford development.

Located along the three principal pedestrian boulevards within the development, the artworks visually and acoustically emulate the quality of cascading and flowing water through a digital fabric made from LCDs (Liquid Crystal Displays), speakers, aluminium and glass.

Generative software creates continually different watery audio-visual-scapes that are realised across the embedded speakers and dynamically controlled LCD glass skins of each artwork.

This project was designed, project managed and delivered whilst at Jason Bruges Studio.
