A wall piece built for Terence Conran’s Bluebird Restaurant in West London. The piece is made up of two parallel mirrors with 32 cold cathode fluorescent lamps in between. The result is a multiplication of the lamps, seemingly stretching into infinity. By using two-way mirrors, the effect is more subtle. Each lamp is connected to a proximity sensor. The closer the viewer is to the lamp the dimmer it becomes, which in turn reduces the depth of the infinity effect. The project was completed at Jason Bruges Studio.
